Most music videos have a specific genre, deciding a genre helped me decide how I want my music video to be filmed and what conventions are used within my music video.

Decisions on Locations
I need to know where I want to film my music video as the setting has help to develop the narrative of my music video, I decided to film in a school.

Storyboard
Once I have  created a narrative for my music video, I create a storyboard so I can have a visual idea on how I want my music video to look like and how I want it edited.

Discuss actors
I need to know who I want in my music video as actors.

I discussed my opening scene because I needed to start piecing together my music video and I needed to have clarity on how I wanted the opening scene to be structured.

Film opening scene


I needed to film my film opening set so I could start of my narrative idea. I filmed my music video opening in the way I wanted so it was a successful attempt.

December 15th 2014


Finish filming music video


I finished filming my video because I needed to produce a music video, there were a few problems with locations, as some of the locations were deemed as inappropriate.

January 12th 2015

Edit music video




I needed to capture the footage that I filmed and structure my video so my production was interesting, effective and had a clear narrative. I used a few editing techniques such as slow motion and rewinding the footage to make scenes of my video more effective.
